I'm Christine.

I'm a passionate educator, blogger, a self--taught expert in the kitchen and an officianado of all things nutrition, lifestyle and mindset to improve gut health and reduce inflammation.

I live in a regional Australian town. I love my family and I'm all about just being me. I have joy and gratitude and I always dream big.

 

There's so much noise out there in the health and wellness space, uncovering what will work for you on your individual journey to health and vibrancy can be tricky and may take some fine-tuning.

 

Over the past decade, I have tried many different nutritional and lifestyle approaches, starting with going gluten-free after my initial diagnosis. As my health continued to decline, I also explored a wholefoods, keto, paleo and GAPS approach and I came to the realization, that what has worked for me, is to focus on improving my gut health and lowering inflammation. This is not achieved by diet alone, but by also incorporating functional movement, reducing both internal and external stressors and nurturing my mindset. Now I am far from perfect, but that's a story for another time!

 

I've taken a grain-free approach and look to provide my body with an abundance of nutrient rich and fermented foods, eliminating refined sugar and foods that will trigger inflammation and I'm making sure to incorporate foods that will support my gut health, which I believe is the key to thriving.

I had no idea where this journey to health and wellness was going to take me, I certainly didn't think I'd be changing career and heading to study an undergreduate in Nutritional Medicine or finding my passion and creating my own business!

What I found out.

I REMEMBER AS A LITTLE GIRL, MAKING A MESS AND BAKING UP A STORM IN THE KITCHEN WITH MY MUM, WHO WAS BY THE WAY, HANDS-DOWN THE most AMAZING BAKER, AND I DREAMED OF ONE DAY MAKING THOSE SAME PRECIOUS MEMORIES WITH A LITTLE PERSON OF MY OWN. WELL, LITTLE DID I KNOW AT THAT TIME, THAT MY JOURNEY WAS GOING TO INVOLVE SOME CONSIDERABLE DETOURS.


So here I am.


Now, nobody's life is going to be all rainbows and butterflies, right? We all have a few speed bumps along the way, those hard-to-take life challenges that enable us to evolve, rise and to ultimately shine even brighter.

Empowering others to intensify their own spark makes me shine too! Validating their personal power, to enable them to regain control and autonomy of their lives and their health. Redefining limiting beliefs, you know, that little voice inside our head that creeps in telling us we should just settle or it's all too hard.

I believe that as we navigate life's obstacles, momentum gathers and leverage is gained. I'm looking forward to unpacking what that can mean for you!

Just over a decade ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, which led to my life changing in so many unforeseen ways, both challenging and gratifying.

 

I thought that I would be giving up and missing out on so much of what life had to offer. When in fact, it has been my journey to attain wellness, that has propelled me forward and has led me to realizing that I have a greater potential. It is these experiences, the ups and the downs, that has ignited a passion in me, to support others on a similar health journey. Creating powerful self-care, self-nourishment tools, so that each of us can thrive and show up to be the best we can be, each and every day, even when things don't go as planned!

And today, as I still work my way through some setbacks, what it is to be human and whatever else life throws my way, I am continually redefining, nurturing and empowering myself to be the best version of me that I can be. And, I couldn't do it without the support from my hubby Lloyd and our beautiful daughter, Laney.
